Gila River Indian News

The Gila River Indian News (GRIN) was originally published in January of 1998.  Throughout the history of GRIN, the paper has grown and changed in concept and design.  The Gila River Indian Community and its’ members have come to rely heavily on the Gila River Indian News as the main source of communication for tribal government news, feature articles, community profiles, announcements and advertising for a variety of community services.

GRIN is a community paper funded by the Gila River Indian Community tribal government.  It consists of a governing Editorial Board, Office Manager, Managing Editor and support staff.  GRIN also participates in intern programs sponsored by tribal education programs.

GRIN is published monthly, with a circulation of approximately 4,700.  The primary circulation is within the community and subscriptions (paid postage) to outside tribal members residing throughout the State of Arizona and the United States.The goal of GRIN is to enhance the publication of GRIN to an increased level of quality and professionalism in a timely manner, providing community members with useful, informative and reliable information.
