Sacaton-Ghouls, goblins and even Colonel Sanders were at the Governance Center as Halloween brought out the inner child in old and new spirits alike.
Children from local schools around the Community were escorted throughout the Governance Center to trick or treat at the various departments. The Office of Community Managers had set up a spooky pathway through which the kids passed before being offered the obligatory candy and treats. Some kids were startled to tears while others knew that it was all in Halloweeen fun.
Departments located outside the immediate Governance Center were also given the opportunity to have booths set up to present information and pass out goodies to the kids who passed through.
Although everyone showed their spirit in some form, some offices had employees who went all out and deserve a little recognition.
From OP&E, both Richard Fuller's Colonel Sanders and Michelle Bowman's Cleopatra were head turners. Tammie Ramiro, from the Law Office, who dressed as Velma from Scooby Doo was definitely realistic as was her co-worker, Tabitha Dugan's ghoulish vampira. Finance offered both Catwoman and a witch in LaVonne Murphy and Martha Notah, respectively. Isaac Navajo and current Miss Gila River, Kelly Whitman also put some effort into their costumes with Navajo as The Phantom of the Opera and Whitman as a gothed-out vampira.
All in all, for the last day of October, the Governance Center was definitely a spooky place to be.
