Internal Audit is an independent appraisal activity established within the Gila River Indian Community to examine and evaluate its activities. The objective of Internal Audit is to assist the Treasurer, Governor, and the Community's Council in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by furnishing them with analysis, appraisals, recommendations, counsel, and information concerning the activities reviewed including compliance with all policies, procedures, resolution, ordinances, laws, and regulations.
License and Taxation
To enforce the requirements of Title 13 of the Gila River Indian Community Law and Order Code as it relates to Business Licenses and Taxation. All business license applications and monthly tax returns are processed in this office. The department also conducts tax audits of those businesses conducting business activities on the Gila River Indian Community.
