1. Steward will perform a nasal swab procedure to obtain a test sample.

2. After the completion of your test, Steward will deliver your test sample to Labcorp in order for Labcorp to analyze the test sample for the presence of the Covid-19 Virus.

3. Once Labcorp analyzes all the submitted test samples, Labcorp immediately informs Steward of all POSITIVE tests results. Generally, it takes twenty-four (24) hours for Labcorp to process the test sample, notify Steward of a positive test result and, then for Steward to inform the tested person of the positive result.

If a person tests positive Steward will call them through the contact information provided and inform the person to self-quarantine and to seek appropriate medical care from the person’s health care provider.

4. The process for persons to receive notification of a NEGATIVE test result takes longer

because the priority is to inform those persons with positive results as soon as possible. It

can take up to 5 to 7 business days for a person to receive written notification of a negative

test result.

Please note that if you have not received your test result within five (5) business days of your test, that you may assume that you tested negative for the Covid-19 test result.

5. Finally, you should know that the local County Health Organization and the Community

Tribal Health Department will be informed of positive test results by Labcorp so that these

health organizations can perform contact tracing with the affected person in order to help

protect that person’s family members and the public health.
